Krunch and the National Express Foundation

IMG_0041 - CopyKrunch teamed with the National Express Foundation to run a music project which gave local young people a voice about their schools and communities.

Students from both Shenstone School – Brades Lodge and Perryfields High School created musical tracks using digital software as well as writing their own lyrics. The young people reflected their thoughts and feelings about what it is like to be a young person growing up in Sandwell.

Representatives from National Express, local police and local councillor, Steve Frear attended the performance event last week along with staff and a parent. As well as performing, the students from Brades Lodge spoke about their experiences of being teenagers in their local areas and took part in a discussion with the audience about how different aged generations can understand each other more.

Link working with Derrick/Krunch is a positive component in ****’s improved general health.  I hope to spend an afternoon at the Krunch project so that I can learn more about what you provide , include what I  learn into how I can best support young people in the future. Thanks again Derrick regarding your involvement with supporting ****.
