Krunch Girls

Our Service…

  • One to one sessions with experienced female mentors who are skilled at building trusting relationships with young people in a confidential manner
  • Exploring relevant issues together… 
  • Who am I? ….Self Esteem, Self-Worth and Body confidence,  It’s My Body! – sex and the law,  What are Healthy Relationships? Personal Safety including, Internet safety, grooming, sexual exploitation
  • Sessions focused around an accredited personal development programme (Open College Network West Midlands) which encourages self awareness, achievement and the development of relevant life skills
  • Signposting young people to positive activities and opportunities outside of school
  • Regular communication with the referring agency and attendance at multi agency meetings when necessary in the best interests of the young person


Target Group…

  • Young females 11-18 years, whose behaviour is risky or unsafe and may make them vulnerable to sexual exploitation
  • Young females whose rate of learning and/or level of motivation is suffering because of such issues
  • Young females whose emotional health and well-being needs a boost!




Length of programme/sessions…

  • 1-2 hours per week
  • Minimum 10 week programme recommended
  • Sessions can be at Krunch premises (transport is not provided) or our staff can come into school

General information…

  • A referral form must be completed for each young person referred to Krunch and a key worker must be named with whom we can liaise
  • We set targets with the young person and review them regularly and agree a weekly reporting structure to someone at school (usually via email)
  • A final report summarizing our intervention and the achievement of the young person will be sent to school and home
  • All Krunch staff have an enhanced DBS certificate and Safeguarding Training
  • Krunch has public liability insurance, a current Safeguarding Policy, Health and Safety risk assessed workshops and many of our staff are First Aid trained
