COVID UPDATE (APRIL 2021)
We are currently awaiting Turnberries Community Centre re-opening in order to restart our weekly youth clubs.
In the meantime we have three open sessions running at The Pod (our venue next to Thornbury Skate park) on Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursday 4pm-5.30pm. Young people are welcome to turn up and take part in any of the planned activities, or simply just grab a drink, chill and chat. We have drinks and tuc for sale. To aid social distancing all activities and seating is outside. A face covering will need to be worn inside The Pod. All young people welcome, school years 6 to 11.
‘Positively Us’, our youth club for young people with additional needs (age 13 plus), is also taking place at the Pod on a Wednesday evening, 6pm-7.30pm. Please get in touch for more info email@example.com.
Youth Clubs During Normal Times!
Our youth clubs are usually held twice a week in Thornbury, staffed by an experienced team of local youth workers.
Wednesday evening is our SENIOR youth club, for all young people in school years 9 and above;6.30pm-8pm, at Turnberries Community Centre
Thursday evening is our JUNIOR youth club, for all young people in school years 6, 7 and 8; 6.30pm-8pm, at Turnberries Community Centre.
In addition, on Wednesday evenings (6.30pm – 8pm) we are working with Jigsaw Thornbury running a youth club for young people with additional needs, aged 13 plus. Please get in touch for further details.
Young people are welcome to just turn up and hang out, or take part in a range of activities such as pool, games consoles, craft, cooking, music, football/sport. There is a small admission charge of £1 per session.
We also organise trips out and activities during school holidays.
With the recommencing of youth clubs we would like to take the opportunity to update our database. All young people will be asked to complete a Youth Club registration form, which you can download here and bring along with you.
Young people under the age of 13 will need to have the form signed by a parent/guardian. Young people aged 13 and over can sign the form themselves.
