Woodland Wellbeing for Families

Thank you for your interest in our new Woodland Wellbeing for Families.

These fun and active sessions are open for all families who would love to spend some positive time together in nature and will be led by Becki Clark, a local occupational therapist with a background in family work and 20+ years of running forest activities.

Each session provides a neutral, safe and natural environment to enhance listening skills, understanding, confidence, and build stronger relationships within the family.  Activities will include tracking, map making, den building, cooking over an open fire, clay and nature art. Becki will use the innovative, gentle techniques of forest therapy to actively harness the benefits of nature to improve health and wellbeing for each individual and for the family as a whole.

All shapes and sizes of families are welcome, the youngest participant must 6 years old or older.

Sessions will take place on Saturday mornings, 11 – 12.30pm, on the following dates;
May 20th and 27th
June 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th

There is a small charge of £1 per participant per session. However, if you are on a low income there are some free funded places available, so please do let us know.

Ideally, we would like families to come along to all sessions, but you can let us know on the form if there are any that you cannot make. The minimum number of sessions in order to gain the most from the experience is three.

Old clothes suitable for any weather conditions that can get muddy, smoky etc and sturdy footwear for walking in the forest will be needed!

The meeting place will be at The Pod next to Thornbury Skate Park.

Please complete the following form to book your place. (There is space to enter the details of up to six participants, if you would like to add more please email liz@krunch.org.uk).
