Jigsaw Youth Club

We run a youth club in partnership with Jigsaw Thornbury for young people aged 14 and over who have additional needs and may feel more comfortable in a smaller, more supportive group setting.

Sessions take place on either a Monday or Tuesday, offering flexibility while maintaining a consistent, structured environment. Groups are kept small to ensure that every young person feels safe, included and able to take part at their own pace.

Our youth club provides a welcoming space where young people can socialise, build friendships and enjoy a range of activities suited to their interests and abilities. Sessions may include games, creative activities, themed evenings and opportunities to try new experiences, all supported by experienced youth workers who understand and respond to individual needs. By working in partnership with Jigsaw Thornbury, we aim to provide a consistent and nurturing environment where young people can thrive, develop skills and enjoy being part of a community.

Working with Krunch South West to deliver our youth club has been brilliant! As a charity supporting children and young people with additional needs or disabilities, we often come across young people who are not able to access mainstream youth clubs for a variety of reasons. We provide a safe space for young people to try new things, make friends and grow independence. Our partnership with Krunch ensures that these young people have access to the high quality youth work they deserve, along with the understanding and support they need to connect, fit in and thrive. Together, we are able to provide wider opportunities in the community and make the best use of resources to benefit local young people.

Thank you so much for putting on these activities through the school holidays. My kids love attending and always say how much they have done in just a few hours. It’s great for them to be outside playing with other children and building on their social skills instead of being in front of a screen. The food also looked delicious, and although my kids never usually eat that much salad, they dove straight into the salad bar you provided. Thank you for such a great provision that I can afford!

Thank you ever so much for the course. I really have learnt a lot, and because I’ve done the course I put it on Facebook and I’ve had three new families ask me to babysit which is now a regular thing! Thank you again for the experience!

Just a quick email to say thank you so much for running this great course. Lauren really enjoyed the day and found it very interesting. Lauren has been working as a babysitter for a while, but I think this course is helping her have confidence in herself and what she has been doing.

I just wanted to say a huge thank you for putting on such a brilliant two day babysitting course! Sarah learnt so much and it has hopefully given her a lot of confidence to look after other people’s children. She also said that the staff were all so lovely and very helpful.
